SWIMMING Australia has hosed down a pay row with members of its Olympic team, insisting it will not be entering pay negotiations with swimmers before the London games.

And AOC boss John Coates has suggested the swimmers should think themselves lucky, saying "other athletes would love to be getting the money" the swimmers are paid.
Swimming Australia president David Urquhart told The Australian last night: "The last thing we want is anyone upsetting the athletes at this time going into the Olympics.
"There won't be any discussions until after the Olympics and the Swimmers Association will be advised of that."
Swimmers Association chief Daniel Kowalski claimed yesterday the governing body reneged on an agreement to allow the union to sign off on a recent financial deal for swimmers.
Kowalski's comments followed a $10,000 lump-sum payment last week to every member of the 47-man team bound for London.

According to Kowalski, not only is the amount too small, but Urquhart had assured him during six months of negotiations that any final decision would be approved by the union.
The new pay structure rewards performance. The top athletes are paid up to $25,000 initially, with the added potential to earn an additional $35,000 for an individual Olympic gold medal.
The relay teams will split a $60,000 bonus. The pay debate was triggered early this year when Swimming Australia signed a major sponsorship deal with Energy Australia.
Previously, payments were limited to the top 15 or 20 athletes.
Kowalski said the new payment was not sufficient to support the majority of athletes while they trained.
"The majority of the swimmers on the Olympic team are going to have to try and support themselves on far less than the minimum wage," Kowalski said, adding it could force some out of the sport.
Commenting on the swimmers' claims on the ABC's 7.30 last night, Coates said: "Other athletes would love to be getting the money they're getting.
"Athletes from other sports, including rowing, do it for the love of the sport and the love of competing at the Olympic Games."
The "top-heavy" nature of the payments, which favours gold medallists, was something Kowalski had hoped to address during negotiations.
"We were taking part in what we believed were good faith negotiations," Kowalski told Melbourne radio. "We presented to the board expecting a response and I woke to find this had already been done. So whilst our models are not dissimilar, it's the way in which we've been treated.
"We don't just represent the elite. Our aim is to represent all swimmers.
"We definitely believe swimmers are underpaid particularly seeing they just signed a major sponsor in Energy Australia."
In announcing the payments last week, Urquhart said the new model was "crucial to maintaining and improving our success in the pool and the key to that success is rewarding athletes who perform on the world stage".

Installation of TBS6984 TV tuner card
Power off your computer, remove computer cover and take out cover panel of PCIe slot in which you want to put the card. Insert the TV tuner card in PCIe slot and fix the card bracket with screw. TBS6984 will still run as a PCIe x1 when installed into the longerx4/ x8 or x16 connector. Put back computer cover. Set your satellite dish aimed at the right satellite. Connect dish LNB to PCIe card“LNB IN” with cable. Just like the follow picture:

Turn on your computer, and insert the Installation CD into your CD-ROM. Click “Install Windows Driver” in the popped-out window, and then just click “next” to continue the installation.

Click “Finish” to complete the installation.
After the three steps completion, open Windows Media Center, DVBDream or Progdvb to watch satellite TV on PC.


Part2: How to connect AV Sender to enjoy TV from room to room

1. Connect AV Sender to the A/V Sources and TV with A/V cable

Step1: Install Hardware
Install Hardware:
Just insert TBS6991 into the PCIe slot and fix the card bracket with screw. Please make sure the card fit PCIe slot tightly. The next is to put back the computer cover and connect the IR receiver to the TBS6991 card.
Note: Make sure that your satellite dish aimed at the right satellite and connect dish LNB to PCI card “LNB IN” with cable.

Different from other TV tuner cards, TBS6991 not only can work as a normal satellite TV tuner card, but also allows inserting two CAMs into two different CI slots. You can find the A/B mark on its low profile bracket, just like follow picture:

If you get one or two CAMs and smartcards in hand, please make sure to insert them correctly. Firstly, please insert the smartcard into the CAM and then Load TBS6991 CI with the CAM. The bumped side of the CAM and the brand-marked side of the card should face the same direction.
Note: If you connect the LNB dish to A tuner, you need to insert the CAM into A CI slot. DON’T insert the CAM into B CI slot when you connect the LNB dish to A tuner.

Step2: Software installation
Windows BDA drivers for TBS6991 come with the CD of the package. So what you need is insert the CD into your CD-ROM. Click “Install Driver” while auto-run appears.

A setup window will pop up. Click “Next “ to begin install.

After that, click “Finish” and the installation is completed.
To verify if the TV tuner driver was correctly installed, you could  choose “Device Manager”, click “Sound, video and game controllers”. You will see “TBS6991 DVBS/S2 CI BDA” on the list.
Step3: Install TBS MCE CI Tool
TBS MCE CI Tool developed by TBS Technology, it is designed for users who want to watch encrypted TV channels on Windows7 Media Center. You MUST install this plugin before starting. Otherwise, you cannot see the encrypted or PayTV on Window Media Center. Before use this MCE CI tool, please make sure you have the valid PayTV Smartcard and the compatible CAM for the CA system.
Now let’s start to install this tool. TBS has attached this plug with CD disk. You can find it on the driver’s part. Click “Install TBS MCE CI Tool” to begin, and then click “next” to finish the installation.

After installing the TBS MCE CI tool, Launch it, it’ll pop up a windows as follows: it shows the devices detected.

To check the CAM info, you can click “Open MMI”, you will see the detail as below:

After the three steps completion,open Windows Media Center,Set up TV Signal->TV Setup->Scanning TV channels(click here to see the concrete steps) to watch encrypted payTV on Windows Media Center on your PC.
